About Heather McGaughey Youth Theatre

The Heather McGaughey Children’s Theatre and Teen Voices, collectively known as Heather McGaughey Youth Theatre, is growing up! The mission of the Heather McGaughey programs is expanding to support the growth of performing arts in Farmington and surrounding areas for youth and adults in both the live theatre and film industries. Heather McGaughey programs continue to build the love of theater and promote self-confidence and teamwork for youth and adults. Some of the key areas students can expect to focus on are: The Actor's Process, Musical Theatre and Character Development, Theatrical Movement, Devised Theatre, and Scenic Design.

Now known as the Heather McGaughey Four Corners Theatre Academy, or Heather's Academy, the various programs offered help individuals gain the skills to achieve their performing arts goals and more successfully participate in Four Corners Musical Theatre Company, the emergency Four Corners film industry, and beyond!

Annual Program Schedule:

  • January - February: Children's Theatre Production

  • March - April: Spring Classes

  • June - July: Summer Classes

  • August - September: Teen Voices Production

  • October - November: Fall Classes

These programs were created in memory of Heather McGaughey, a professional actress and entertainer who tragically lost her life in Farmington in July of 2005. Heather strove both to pursue excellence in her art and to elevate those around her to their best.

Heather McGaughey Four Corners Theatre Academy is managed by the Farmington Civic Center.
